The most fundamental change coming to Modern Warfare 3 is ditching Kill Streaks for a Point Streak system. In short, it won't be only kills that contribute to streak rewards, but actions such as capturing bases and assists. It's a change that means modes other than Team Deathmatch will provide players with more streaking opportunities, so those who prefer to take more of a supporting role have a better chance of reaping rewards.
